Alternatives to Ghosting or Going No-Contact

Being avoidant? Not courageous.

Our culture can be avoidant of difficult conversations, causing us to ghost or go no-contact because we think that there are no other alternatives.

My rallying cry? Practice the courage to admit that difficult conversations are awkward for everyone.

It takes incredible practice to slow down, not get reactive, and decide that we’re going to allow ourselves to be fumbling and awkward and also be with someone else who is fumbling and awkward as you try to navigate conflict, together.

At the end of the day, you might still decide that going no-contact is the better option.

You’ll feel better knowing that you cleaned up your side of the street. At the end of the day, your integrity matters more than how they react if they don’t like what you have to say. Align with your integrity.
